Webinar: Religious Trauma with Julia Krump, LCSW

This workshop will focus on what constitutes religious and spiritual abuse and the trauma that often remains and help clients find healing and a sense of freedom.


Participants will gain:
1. Understanding the complexities of the experience of religious trauma and client impact
2. Understanding the clinical treatment of religious trauma
3. Considerations for social workers who encounter religious trauma in clients   

About Our Presenter:

Julia Krump, LCSW, LMSW-C, and trauma-informed therapist. She specializes in recovery from religious trauma, life transitions, grief and loss, and clinical conditions that arise through difficult and traumatic life experiences. These largely include C-PTSD, depression, and anxiety and can include other mental health disorders. Her practice is non-religious, non-judgemental, affirming, and strongly focused on healing from past trauma and uncovering an authentic sense of self-identity. You can follow her practice at www.onelifetherapy.net. She currently provides teletherapy to individuals living in TN, CO, and Ml, as well as in-person therapy for clients in Fort Collins, Colorado.

Julia holds an MSW from GVSU and a BA in Philosophy from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. She has an LCSW in Tennessee, an LCSW in Colorado, and an LMSW clinical license in Michigan. Prior to becoming a therapist, Julia interned for 18 months with Hospice of Michigan. She also worked as an adult mental health case manager, working with individuals with severe and pervasive mental illnesses. Before that, she worked as a Program Associate at the ACLU of Michigan.

Julia de-converted from fundamentalist Christianity 17 years ago. Her deconstruction of early and harmful indoctrination is ongoing, as is all trauma recovery.
